The consent agenda was approved.

The matter of establishing a fee structure for fines to owners of vacant/abandoned structures was sent to the Committee of the Whole.

A block party was approved.

A signage request by Metro Detroit Signs for Haggerty Road between 7 Mile and Phillips Rd was approved.

The Livonia Zoning Ordinance was approved (previously referred to as the Livonia Vision 21 Zoning Ordinance).

Approved for the consent agenda:

  • Block parties + Saint Rafka Maronite Catholic Church Cultural Festival
  • Compensation increase for Assistant City Treasurer and Clerk to align with Deputy Treasurer and Clerk
  • Transportation Study by OHM
  • Fence replacement at Botsford Pool
  • Renew agreements for animal sheltering with Michigan Humane Society and rock salt from Detroit Salt
  • Storm drain system improvements

The Basilica of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church is planning its annual festival for August 10th -13th and requested a waiver for the City’s noise ordinance at the Study Meeting. In response to resident concerns, Council is proposing a decibel restriction that will be considered at the next Council meeting.

Development/improvement requests by Plymouth Auto Sales, Nofar Hotel Group (Schoolcraft Rd by Merriman) and Four Winds Church will be evaluated further at the next meeting.
