August 8, 2022 – City Council Meeting

All City Council members were present for the meeting.

Minutes from the previous meeting were approved.

The following was approved was adopted unanimously:

☑️ The consent agenda

☑️ The motion to sending the topic of ‘investigating what measures Livonia can adopt around diversity, equity, and inclusion’ to Committee of the Whole.

☑️ Upholding the denial to operate a tow yard at 12780 Wayne Road.

☑️ Authorize fund expenditure for emergency repairs at the City fueling sites

The first reading of the proposed flag ordinance was given.

The following items were accepted for the consent agenda:

☑️ Various block party or neighborhood gathering requests.

☑️ Waiving of the sidewalk requirement at the new build at 19364 Fitzgerald.

☑️ Appointment of Wafa Dinaro to Livonia’s Planning Commission.

☑️ Reappointment of Michael Marihugh to Livonia Local Officers Compensation Commission.

☑️ Approval of the Senior Alliance Multi-Year plan and Annual Implementation Plan.

☑️ Pay increases for school crossing guard from $10 to $15 per hour.

☑️ Approval for the reinstated defined contribution and deferred contribution plans
