June 27th – City Council Meeting

Laura Toy and Scott Morgan were out due to exposure to Covid. Scott Bahr was out due to personal business

Consent agenda and meeting minutes from past meeting was approved.

  • The annual audit of city finances for fiscal year 2021 (ending November 30, 2021) was completed. A summary can be found here: https://civicclerk.blob.core.windows.net/…/e7cb2d37….
  • A motion to raise the purchasing policy limit without city council from 15,000 to 20,000, while purchases between 15,000 to 20,000 was seconded.

The following was adopted unanimously

  • Various ordinances related to the water rate increase effective July 1, 2022.
  • Ordinance modifying the city’s delivery and placement of written material.
  • Rezoning of 13393 Farmington road from M-1 to C-2 (general business)
  • Waver petition to expand Livonia Veterinary Hospital
  • Waver petition submitted by Area Towing to operate a vehicle tow yard at 12719 Inkster.
  • Appointment of Christopher Boloven to Zoning Board of Appeals
  • Various purchase orders

The following were approved for the next consent agenda:

  • Car show at Tent Master, 27488 Grand River on Saturday, September 3, 2022
  • Various purchase requests
  • Mark your calendar, December 4 will be the annual tree lighting ceremony.
  • Sale of city owned home (purchased through Community Block Grant Development) at 11910 Cardwell to private residents.
