On Tuesday, February 3rd, the Livonia Planning Commission reviewed five requests. Three move forward with approving motions and two were tabled.
The following were approved and will be reviewed by City Council:
- Request to remove the existing house and garage at 11315 Stark Road to provide additional parking in connection with the existing automotive dealership operation at 34501 Plymouth Road
- Waiver use approval for Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar to utilize an S.D.M. liquor license (allows a licensed business to sell beer, wine, and mixed spirit drink products in the original package for consumption off the premises) for directly placed to-go orders
- Approval of plans for Buildings F and I at the Shoppes at College Park project on Six Mile Road between Haggerty Road and Fox Drive. Charles Schwab financial establishment and a Fogo de Chao restaurant
The following items were tabled for later review:
- Request to demolish the existing gas station and fuel pumps at 36300 Five Mile Road, and construct a new gas station convenience store and fuel pumps, located the northeast corner of Levan Road and Five Mile Road. The petitioner has until April to bring an updated proposal to the commission.
- The request for proposed amendments to the Livonia Vision 21 Master Plan, including the addition of Book 5, Housing Sustainability, as well as several changes to the Future Land Use Map, for public review and comment, and to hold a public hearing to consider adoption of the proposed amendments was tabled until the next voting meeting on February 24th.
