Jan 5 Study Meeting

Here is a summary of the January 5, 2026 Study Meeting of Livonia City Council.

The following items were added to the next consent agenda:

• Various sidewalk requirement waivers

• Amending the waiver site approval of the incoming Cava to wave the requirement of providing access to Chippewa Drive

• Operating an oil change establishment at 38400 Joy Road

• Award of bid for the publication of the Livonia 2026 Connections magazine

• Donating Livonia Television equipment to Clarenceville High School

• Waving the formal bidding process to allow Rotondo Construction to repave the Kirksey Recreation Center entrance

• Sublease agreement with Trinity Health to operate a physical rehabilitation operation out of the Kirksey Rec Center

•Various purchase agreements.

The following was added to the next regular agenda:

• Approving and denying a waver use approval for a banquet center at 38400 Joy Road.

• Waver approval for an SDM liquor license at the Outback Steakhouse.

• Extending agreement with ERG for hazardous waste recycling for a two year period, which will be available year round.
