Tis the season! Here are places to have fun in Livonia. And find entertainment any night at the Perrin Family Lights display or Wayne County Lightfest along Hines Drive and Santa at Laurel Park Place all month long.

- Jewelry Making Workshop with Christine Steffen @ Civic Center Library at 2:30pm. earn some basic jewelry making techniques. Pre-registration required and the program is for adults ages 18 and older.
Thursday, December 4th
- The Livonia Symphony Orchestra Trivia Night Fundraiser @ One Under Bar & Grill at 6:30pm. Tickets are $30 per person or $240 for team of eight. Enjoy hearty hors d’oeuvres, music, prizes and a cash bar while supporting Livonia’s hometown orchestra.Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and trivia will begin at 7 p.m.
- The Michigan Fingerstyle Guitar Society presents Don Ross and Julie Malia @ Trinity House at 7:30pm. Tickets are $30
Friday, December 5th
- Annual Holiday Craft Show @ Senior Wellness Center from 9am to 2pm. Free admission and over 55 vendor tables.
- Schoolcraft College Instrumental and Piano Student Recital at 12pm. The Instrumental and Piano Student Recital begins at noon in the Forum Auditorium (Room 530).
- CAPA Winter Showcase @ Churchill High School at 7pm. Admission is $10 for adultsand $5 for student and seniors, cash only
- Christopher Mark Jones w/ Mike Gentry @ Trinity House at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20
Saturday, December 6th
- Christmas Spectacular Craft Show @ Another Day Resource Center from 10am to 3pm. The perfect place to check off your Christmas shopping list with unique, handmade gifts from local crafters! Home Decor, jewelry and personalized hoodies & T-shirts just to list a few.
- Livonia Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday Surprises @ Clarenceville High School at 4pm. Featuring traditional holiday music, holiday movie music, and more. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for kids.

- Merry and Bright Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting at 4pm starting at Frost Middle School and ending at City Hall.
Tuesday, December 9th
- Diamond Painting: Winter Art Program @ Sandburg Library at 6pm. Join artist, Kim Oderkirk, as she instructs and helps students complete a winter themed diamond painting coaster in class. Limit one coaster per student.
- Adult Coffee, Cocoa and Coloring @ Civic Center Library at 6:30pm. Join for an evening of relaxation time as we color and enjoy coffee or cocoa. All supplies are provided, but feel free to bring your own!
Thursday, December 11th
- LPL Art Studio: Swedish Dala Horse Ornament Painting @ Civic Center Library at 6:30pm. Celebrate the season with a night of Dala horse painting, inspired by the beloved wooden horses of Sweden. Traditionally hand-carved and brightly painted, these festive figures have become a cherished symbol of Swedish folk art and holiday tradition. In this hands-on program, you’ll learn about the history and symbolism of the Dala horse while creating your own beautifully painted keepsake—perfect for gifting or displaying at home during the holidays. Registration is required and the program is for adults 18 and older.

- Garfield Craft Show @ Garfield Skills Center from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Our mission is to provide a quality craft show that will benefit both our customers and school community. Our special education students involved have the opportunity to practice life skills and leadership as well as earn money for their crafts.
- Used Book Sale @ Civic Center Library from 10am to 5pm.
- Barnyard Buddies: Annabelle’s Wish @ Greenmead Historical Park at 10:30am. Enjoy holiday farm stories and crafts. Program best for kids age 4 to 10 and tickets are $10.
- Christmas On Stage and Screen @ Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 7:30pm. Step into a world of holiday magic as the Detroit Handbell Ensemble presents Christmas on Stage and Screen – a dazzling celebration of the most beloved Christmas music ever written for theatre and film.
- Jill Jack Christmas Show @ Trinity House at 7:30pm. Tickets are $25
Saturday, December 13th
- Elk Hoop Shoot @ Kirksey Recreation Center at 9am. The Elks Hoop Shoot is a free basketball contest for kids ages 8–13 where they try to make the most free throws. Winners can move on to bigger competitions. It’s all about having fun and building skills!
- 12 Birds of Christmas @ Greenmead Historical Park at 9am. Join us to sing a fun twist on a classic holiday song, learn about 12 common winter birds, try out binoculars, and enjoy a hands-on winter craft. Advance registration is required. Tickets are $10 and best for kids 6 and older.
- Used Book Sale @ Civic Center Library from 10am to 5pm.
- Meet Steve Cardenas (Red Ranger) @ Time Blaster Toys from 12pm to 3pm. Autographs are $60 and photos are $60. Combo is $100
- Annual Cookie Walk @ Timothy Lutheran Church at 12:30pm. $2 entry.
- ASL Storytime and Children’s Chrismtas Party @ Madonna University Franciscan Center from 1:30pm to 4pm. $25 per family (up to 5 people)
- Happy Holidays with LSO Ensemble @ Laurel Park Mall Food Court at 3pm
- Livonia Youth Choir @ Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 3pm.

- Schoolcraft College Collegiate Chorale and The Ford Motor Company Chorus, “Gaudete: Joyful Music for the Season” @ Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church at 5pm. Donations accepted.
Monday, December 15th
- Winter Light Walk @ Sandburg Library at 4:30pm. Join for a 15-minute walk to a Light Up Livonia award winning home light display. Then we’ll return to the Library to warm up with hot cocoa.

- North Pole Workshop: hand Made Crafts @ Livonia Recreation Center. There are several items to choose from. Make one or make them all! All children ages 5-12 require a ticket. There are two event times this year: 2:30-4 p.m. and 5:30-7 p.m. This event is $23 per resident
Monday, December 29th
- Stories, Snacks, and Crafts! – The Christmas Owl @ Greenmead Historical Park at 1pm. Celebrate with festive crafts inspired by the story and enjoy some tasty seasonal snacks. Advance registration is required and tickets are $10. The program is best for ages 4 to 10
