October 6th Regular and Study City Council Meeting

The following topics were sent to Committee of the Whole for further discussion:

  • Animal Control
  • ADA deficiencies throughout the city of Livonia

Mayor Brosnan presented two grants that were recently awarded from the state of Michigan in the 2026 fiscal year budget:

  • 1,000,000 for Stark Road bike/walk overpass
  • 300,000 for Rotary Park pavilion restoration

  • Various block party requests
  • Accepting Smart funding for Livonia transportation program Liv and Go
  • Accepting Smart funding for lift equipment to be used in Livonia transportation program Liv and Go
  • Various purchase agreements
  • Approval of application for the Detroit Institute of Arts partner in the Public Arts program
  • Approval of addendum with OptimHealth regarding the senior
  • Approval of expenditures related to Livonia’s lead identification/removal project for fiscal year 2026
  • Award of contract for ongoing water main replacement
