• Teen Volunteer Council Meeting @ Sandburg Library at 5pm. The goal of the TVC is to help members take an active role in creating a welcoming environment for teens at the library. 
• Livonia Symphony Orchestra Trivia Night @ One Under at 6pm. Tickets are $240 for teams of 8

Friday, April 4th

• Senior Resource Fair @ Senior Center from 9am to 1pm. Celebrate the Detroit Tigers Home Opener by wearing your gear, winning prizes, eating hot dogs, and learning about senior resources for area businesses. No registration necessary or admission charge.
• Detroit Tigers Opening Day Watch Party @ O’Malley’s at 1pm.
• Sensory Reptile and Amphibian Encounters @ Nankin Mills Interpretive Center from 7pm to 8:30pm. This program is ideal for individuals with sensory processing challenges. The various reptiles and amphibians of the nature center will be on display as a naturalist explains the adaptations of the animals. Program is $5 per person
• Richard Gilewitz w/ Bear Whitmer @ Trinity House Theatre at 8pm. Tickets are $20

Saturday, April 5th

• Wayne County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event @ Eastland Commerce Center, Harper Woods from 8am to 1pm
• Peter Rabbit’s Garden @ Greenmead Historical Park from 1pm to 3pm. Listen to the story “Peter Rabbit” by Beatrix Potter, stuff your very own plush bunny to take home, plant seeds to start your own garden, enjoy a craft or two and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny! This program is best for ages 4-10. Advance registration is required for $25/child resident
• Jeff Karoub and Garrison Corner with George Luckey @ Trinity House Theatre at 8pm. Tickets are $20

Sunday, April 6th

• Coffee Culture Class @ Greenmead Historical Park from 9am to 10:30am. Explore the history and taste of local coffees, learn about different blends and brews. Tickets $25 per person
• Thaw the Barn Chess Tournament @ Wilson Barn from 10am to 5pm. Register here
• Easter Egg Hunt @ Newburg United Methodist Church at 11:30am. Bring a basket or bag and get ready to scoop up some sweet Easter treats. 
• Hoppin’ Pool Party! @ Recreation Center from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Enjoy a fun-filled day with exciting pool games, activities, and more! Registration is required. Anyone 13 or younger must be accompanied by a paying adult. This program is $8 for members, $12 for residents
• Empty Chair Night w/ Dan Cafferty and Steve Taylor @ Trinity House Theatre from 7pm to 9:30pm. Tickets are $12

• Fungi of Michigan with Lorenzo Lo Piccolo @ Sandburg Library at 6:30pm. Did you know that fungi have a kingdom of their own? Join Lorenzo Lo Piccolo to learn about these intriguing organisms. 
• Work the Dream: Learn from the Team Behind Livonia’s Own Inclusive Coffee Shop @ Civic Center Library at 7pm. Hear from an amazing group of self-advocates with various disabilities working at Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop and other local businesses.
• Adult Coffee, Cocoa and Coloring @ Civic Center Library from 6:30pm to 8pm. Join us for an evening of relaxation time as we color and enjoy coffee or cocoa.  All supplies are provided, but feel free to bring your own!

Wednesday, April 9th

• History Lecture Series – Overview of the Arab World and Arab Americans @ Greenmead Historical Park from 2pm to 3:30pm.  Learn about the differences between the Arab World and the Middle East, ethnic and religious diversity within the Arab World, the history of Arab immigration to the United States, Arab American demographics, and Arab American culture.
• Livonia State of the City @ VistaTech Center, Schoolcraft College from 3pm to 6pm. Tickets are $20 and it streams live on Facebook
• LPL Art Studio: Around the World in Paint @ Civic Center Library from 6pm to 7:30pm. From themed mixed media programs to instructor-led studio art classes taught by College of Creative Studies students and alumni, each event offers a fresh opportunity to explore and expand your artistic horizons.
• EXIT: Sunken Treasure @ Civic Center Library at 7pm. Teens can play EXIT: Sunken Treasure, an escape-room style game!

Thursday, April 10th

• Home School Electricity and Light @ Nankin Mills Interpretive Center from 1pm to 3pm. Learn how this early 1900s creation of sustainable, clean power worked and how similar power production is still used today! To celebrate this history, we will experiment with circuits, prisms, UV lights, and more. The program fee is $6.00 per student.
• Ted Talks @ Recreation Center from 6pm to 8pm. Ted will answer questions and provide updates on capital projects, operations, and programs in Livonia Parks and Recreation. No registration or fee is required.
• Earth Explorers- Nature’s Neighborhood @ Greenmead Historical Park at 6pm. Discover how creatures big and small find food, stay safe, and build their homes through interactive, hands-on activities! Advance registration is required for $5/child.

Saturday, April 12th

• Easter Egg Hunt @ St. Michael’s Catholic Church from 9:30am to 11am. Crafts and games set up in the cafeteria and an egg hunt happening in the gym- plenty of ways to keep everyone entertained. Tickets are $5 per child and you must register to attend.
• Easter Hop @ Rosedale Garden Presyterian Church from 10am to 2pm. Children will “hop” from table to table collecting a basket full of Easter surprises. They’ll meet the Easter Bunny and choose from other exciting activities too! Admission is a canned food item for our RGPC Deacon’s Food Ministry. Bring a basket.
• Easter Egg Hunt @ Life Church Livonia from 10am to 11:30am.  EGGspect games, crafts, face painting, egg hunts, a bounce house, and pictures with the Easter bunny! 
• Women’s Self-Protection and Defense Class @ Kirksey Recreation from 10am to 1pm. This three-hour workshop is structured to provide basic self-protection/self-defense strategies and techniques. The cost per member is $92, residents are $101
• Bunny Brunch @ Senior Center from 11am to 12:30pm. All ages are welcome to come and enjoy games and crafts, along with a visit from the Easter Bunny. All participants ages 2 and older must be registered $10 per person. Lunch consists of pizza, chips, salad, and a sweet treat!
• Seeds and Soil Earth Day Celebration @ Civic Center Library from 11am to 1pm. Each child will be allowed up to three growing pots filled with dirt, and they will be allowed to select from a wide range of seeds to be planted while at the library and taken home. There will be educational resources and posters on hand to help children (and their parents) understand the processes that turn a dormant seed into a productive plant.
• Bluestone Voices for Autism Presents: Easter Egg-stravaganza! from 11am to 2pm. Enjoy egg hunts, games, raffles, food, Easter bunny pictures, and more! Presale tickets are $9, $10 at the door for kids two and up. Adults and kids under two are free. All proceeds will provide support to families with children on the autism spectrum.
• Sensory Shenanigans @ Civic Center Library from 11am to 1pm. Children of all abilities and ages benefit from sensory-based play: it stimulates the brain and helps develop fine and gross motor skills.

Monday, April 14th

• Dessert Teas With Brad Coates @ Civic Center Library at 6pm. Tea expert, Brad Coates, returns with a lively discussion about dessert teas, and samples will be poured for your enjoyment!  Registration is required.
• Garden Lecture Series – Controlling Common Garden Weeds @ Greenmead Historical Park from 6:30pm to 8pm. Learn to identify common annual, biennial, and perennial garden weeds and how to control them using environmentally safe methods. This is a FREE event

Thursday, April 17th

• Noontime Concert @ Civic Center Library at 12pm. Detroit area musicians Tom Dooley, Marilyn Hotaling and Sally Kilcullen–for a lively performance of Celtic and traditional music.
• Crafts Around The World @ Greenmead Historical Park at 6pm Through engaging craft projects like Australian dot painting, German potato printing, and more, youth will learn about different cultures, histories, and creative techniques. This interactive workshop fosters creativity, cultural appreciation, and a sense of global connection – one craft at a time! Advance registration is required for $5/child.
• Community Board Game Night @ Wilson Barn from 6:30pm to 9pm. Free event with lots of games to play
• Oreo Taste Testing @ Civic Center Library at 7pm. Kids in grades 5th to 7th grades can taste test Oreos.

Friday, April 18th

• Marshmallow Drop @ Nankin Mills Recreation Center at 11am. Thousands of marshmallows will be dropped from a helicopter to be turned in for a prize. The event is not competitive and only one marshmallow is needed for a prize.

Saturday, April 19th

• Egg Hunt @ Rotary Park. This free egg hunt will take place by age groups every 30 minutes 10 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday, April 19, at the Baseball Diamonds in Rotary Park! Preregistration is required.
• Family Easter Fair with Egg Hunt @ Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church from 10am to 12pm.  Crafts and Easter fun including an Easter Egg hunt. There is no cost and no need to pre-register. 
• Easter Event @ Laurel Park from 11am to 3pm. A fun-filled day of egg hunting, exciting games, raffle prize giveaways, and endless fun for the kids!
• Easter Egg Hunt @ Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 1pm.

Tuesday, April 22nd

• Livonia’s History of Business Luncheon @ MASCO Corporation from 11:30am to 1pm. Lunch and hear Livonia-Westland Chamber President Dan West’s presentation on Livonia’s History of Business from farming to current business industries.  Tickets $30 for guest
• Cookies & Canvas @ Sandburg Library from 5:30pm to 7pm. Teens and Tweens, let your creativity shine with a paint night just for you, snacks included! All supplies provided.
