There was a read out of the Finance and Budget Committee Meeting and the 24/25 budget was approved in addition to the following amended Council requests: the tax administration fee that was approved earlier this year will be up for annual renewal with the budget, $20k for the Noble site, $60k from the Government Affairs budget was moved to the Building Improvement Fund and the step increase for the Government Affairs Director position was capped at step 3.   3. Architect Engineer Services of City Hall- HED
  4. Surveying Services- Spalding DeDecker

The following items were approved:

  • Minutes & Consent Agenda Lot split at 19358 Newburgh between 7 and 8 Mile
  • Portable Toilet Program contract for 24-27 (all parks with a facility will have at least 1 ADA, wheel-chair accessible unit)
  • Concrete contracts

The waiver petition from Wanda Massage Institute was denied.

Resident request to vacate a portion of the right-of-way was sent to the administration for a report and recommendation

Request by The Learning Tree to open a location at the northeast corner of Newburgh and 7 Mile was put on the regular with requests for improvement in proposal

Class C Liquor license for Papa Romano’s at Plymouth and Levan was put on the regular

The request by Wal-Mart for building construction to create a dedicated grocery pick-up area was sent to Committee of the Whole
