August Happenings 2024

Make the most of the final month of August. Discover what’s going on in Livonia this month.

Livonia Aquatics:

  • Clements Circle Splash Park is open daily. Mondays – Fridays from 1pm to 8pm & Saturdays/Sundays from 11am to 6pm.
  • Botsford Pool is open Mondays – Fridays from 1pm to 7pm & Saturdays/Sundays from 11am to 6pm.
  • Shelden Pool is open Tuesdays/Thursdays from 3pm to 8pm and Saturdays/Sundays from 11am to 6pm. Cash only

    Wednesday, August 14th:

    • Hands On History at Greenmead Historical Park from 9:30am to 2pm. Children ages 9-12 can join us for a hands-on, two-day 19th-century experience at Greenmead Historical Park. During this program, they will participate in various historically-based activities, including militia drills, cooking, games, and more! Advance registration is required for $50 per participant.
    • Coffee, Cocoa and Coloring at Civic Center Library from 6:30pm to 8pm.  All supplies are provided, but feel free to bring your own!

    Friday. August 23rd:

    • S’mores and Stories at Greenmead Historical Park at 7pm. Enjoy roasting s’mores, telling stories and enjoying a variety of activities around the campfire. This program is best for children ages 5-12 and all children must be accompanied by an adult (parents do not need to register). Advance registration required for $5 per child.
    • Goat Yoga at Blue Line Farm at 11am. $15 for adults and $10 for kids.

    Saturday, August 24th:

    • Touch-A-Truck at Greenmead Historical Park from 8:30am to 2pm. A large variety of vehicles including fire trucks, local police forces, tow trucks, military vehicles, historic vehicles, racecars, horses, helicopters, and a hot air balloon. Entry is free, but we do accept family donations, which are all donated back to local organizations.
