Following a public comment/request, Council made a motion to move the Bently Bulldog statue from Greenmead to the Bently memorial annex inside the Rec Center.

The following was passed unanimously:

▪️ Consent agenda

▪️ Contract for municipal park mowing program

▪️ Amend Council resolution to correct salary rate for Deputy Clerk position.

Receipt and file from Mayor’s office regarding administrative fees, this issue is in the Committee of the Whole.

The following items were added to the next consent agenda:

▪️ Request to waive city’s noise ordinance for summer block party

▪️ Multiple commission (re)appointments: Mary Ciolino and Andrew Lendrum – Board of Review and Jacob Ghannam and Suzette Samuels – Board of Ethics

▪️ LPD contract agreement for Police Service Aides

▪️ Van purchase request from Housing Commission for Livonia Community Transit

▪️ Approval of a new Art In the Park Program Grant application support for funds to stabilize the south barn at Greenmead from Michigan Historic Preservation Office

▪️ Arbor Day celebration on Thursday, April 25th at 3pm at LPS’ Niji-Iro Japanese Immersion Elementary School

▪️ Release of development bond for Dover Court Condominium

▪️ Multiple contract requests: Vending contract with Rec Center and smaller amount concrete road program agreements

3 concrete (road and sidewalk) related bid requests were put on the regular agenda because they are over a million dollar spending commitments, these are expected to pass.
