Vote.Run.Serve does not normally cover Planning Commission Meetings, however we have seen strong public interest in the proposed gas station/restaurant at the corner of Newburgh and 5 mile road and decided to cover the Planning Commission’s Regular meeting.
On November 16, the Livonia Planning Commission reviewed two requests. Both requests were denied by a majority of the Planning Commission members.
- Silken Road proposal to rezone the corner of 5 Mile and Newburgh, enabling the development of a gas station/quick service restaurant.
- New Oakland Family Centers special waver use approval to develop a domiciliary behavioral health facility with short-term, temporary housing (less than 72 hours per stay) at 29582-29596 Five Mile Road.
