There’s LOTS to do in Livonia! Here’s what’s happening in January;
Thursday, January 4th:
- FREE Drop-In Senior Tech Support at Livonia Civic Center Library. Bring your cellphone/tablet/laptop and questions for the library’s Teen Volunteer Council.
Friday, January 5th:
- The Whiskey Charmers and Jo Serrapere at the Trinity House Theatre from 8pm to 10:30pm. Tickets are $20
Saturday, January 6th:
- Glow Swim Party at the Livonia Recreation Center from 5:30pm to 7pm. Admission is $12 for residents, $6 for members.
- The Devil Elvis Trio at Trinity House Theatre from 8pm to 10:15pm. Tickets are $20
Thursday, January 11th:
- Retired Sergeant Robert Haig hosts a Fraud Prevention talk at the Livonia Senior Center at 9am. Pre-registration is required.
Friday, January 12th:
- MLK Celebration and Lunch at the Senior Center. Cost is $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents, pre-registration required.
- Mark Kesson with Bobby Pennock at Trinity House Theatre from 8pm to 10:30pm. Tickets are $20
Saturday, January 13th:
- Coffee Hour with Councilwoman Carrie Budzinski and special guest Clerk Lori Miller at the Civic Center Library at 11am to discuss what’s happening in Livonia in 2024
- Aleksi Campagne w/ Jeff Scott at Trinity House Theatre from 8pm to 10pm. Tickets are $20
Sunday, January 14th:
- Balloon Class For Beginners at Next Level Studio. Class is $50
Monday, January 15th:
- 2nd Annual Livonia MLK Legacy Breakfast featuring ‘Living the Dream’ youth art exhibition at Madonna University. Tickets are $28 for adults and $10 for kids ages 12 and older.
Tuesday, January 16th:
- Stay Sane In an Insane World with Greg Harden at Civic Center Library from 7pm to 8:3pm
- Crafts with Kristy at Civic Center Library. This adult program requires pre-registration and runs from 7pm to 8pm.
- Open Stage at Trinity House Theatre from 6pm to 9:30pm
Wednesday, January 17th:
- Local traveler Jill Pavlat shares pictures and stories from her Advenutres In India at the Civic Center Auditorium from 6:30pm to 8pm
Thursday, January 18th:
- Multi-Chamber Coffee Connect hosted by the Livonia-Westland Chamber at Macfarland Painting from 8:30am to 9:30am. Registration required, free admission.
- Noontime Concert: Blue Cat Band at Civic Center Library from 12:15pm to 1pm
Friday, January 19th:
- Will Kimbrough at Trinity House Theatre from 8pm to 10pm. Tickets are $25
Saturday, January 20th:
- Kids in grades k-2 can bring their stuffy for a bedtime snack and storytime before leaving them for a Stuffy Sleepover at the Library.
- Pete the Cat Story and Playtime at Greenmead Historical Park from 10am to 11:30am. Registration is required and costs $5 per child. Program is best for kids ages 4 to 8.
- Livonia PTSA Council hosts its 8th Chili Cook-off at Franklin High School from 11am to 2pm. Admission is $5 and includes refreshments and unlimited chili samples.
- Sunny Wilkinson Trio at Trinity House Theatre from 2pm to 4pm
- The Dirk Kroll Band at Trinity House Theatre from 8pm to 10:30pm. Tickets are $20
Sunday, January 21st:
- Winter Waddles Stuff-a-Pet at the Recreation Center. Listen to a story, stuff a penguin squishy and enjoy themed games. Admission is $25 for residents.
Monday, January 22nd:
- Livonia Historical Society hosts “Smugglers on the Strait- 300 Years of Smuggling on Detroit’s Waterways” at Greenmead Historical Park at 2pm
- Michigan Small Business Development Center hosts a free Starting A Business course at Schoolcraft College from 6pm to 7:30pm. Registration required.
Tuesday, January 23rd:
- Jewelry Making Workshop with Christine Steffen at the Civic Center Library from 2:30pm to 4pm. Ages 18+ and registration is required.
Thursday, January 25th:
- Learn Acrylic Landscape Painting at the Senior Center. The beginner and intermediate level class is at 9:30am and costs $21 for residents.
- Michigan Small Business Development Center hosts a free Forming Your LLC course at Schoolcraft College from 6pm to 8pm. Registration required.
- Quiet Place Challenge for teens grades 8 to 12 at Civic Center Library at 7pm.
Friday, January 26th:
- Under The Sea Someone Special Dance at the Kirksey Recreation Center. Come dance, play, snack, and make memories from 6pm to 8pm, tickets are $12 for residents.
Saturday, January 27th:
- Sensory Shenanigans for ages 3 to 8 at the Civic Center Library from 11am to 1pm

- Polka Dots and Pie Tea Party at Greenmead Historical Park at 3pm. Learn about the history of pie in your polka dot attire. Tickets are $35 for residents, registration is required.
Sunday, January 28th:
- Livonia All Stars VS Detroit Red Wing Alumni Charity Hockey Game at Eddie Edgar Arena at 11am. Tickets are $10
- Teen Time at Greenmead – “The Secret History of Snack Foods Trivia Challenge” from 2pm to 4pm. This program is for grades 8 to 12. Tickets are $10 and registration is required.
Tuesday, January 30th:
- History Lecture Series – Michigan’s Quest for Statehood at Greenmead Historical Park at 2pm. Free event and no registration required.
- Open Stage at the Trinity House Theatre from 6pm to 9:30pm
