December 13, 2023 – City Council Meeting

Transparency, accountability and community engagement are essential in a democracy. Local government is important and City Council meetings provide insight into what’s happening in your community. Here is a summary of the December 13, 2023 Regular Meeting of Livonia City Council.

Minutes and consent agenda were approved.

Council took no action on Local Officers Compensation Commission’s plan to implement pay increases to Mayor, Clerk, Council and Treasurer. It will go into effect next year.

Council approved an amendment to a resolution to correct the name of the Clarenceville Band Parents and Friends Club. This was needed for the organization to get the Charitable Gaming License from the State of Michigan.

Council also approved spending requests by Engineering for concrete and sidewalk and pavement replacement program.

This was the final meeting of the current council. The VRS Team would like to thank outgoing electeds, Councilmembers Kathleen McIntyre and Scott Bahr and Treasurer Lynda Scheel for their years of service to Livonia.
