The following proposed ordinance changes were given second read

In response to Council, the Mayor’s office addressed the matter of removing dead deer from private yards or ravine areas. It was determined that Livonia DPW doesn’t have the staff or funding for this task, a liability issue is also cited. Livonia Service Corps may be an option for residents in some instances. The administration also identified two for-hire options that can be shared with resident but are not explicitly recommended by the City but shared as options:
- Platinum Wildlife Removal (734-822-6667) is based in Livonia. They can typically handle same-day requests, depending on the time of the request, but they say they respond within 48 hours. Estimated cost is $499-$699 and they don’t do water collections.
- Respectful Removals LLC (248-820-2208) is run by Gary J. Cornellier and they’re available 24/7 to respond. They do not quote prices or ranges. However, they do offer to collect dead deer either for free or a donation for those who cannot afford to pay for it. It is not clear how they determine those in need.
The following items were approved:
- Release of Bond for Heritage Square Condominiums
- Sidewalk Program requests Easement request
