2023 Livonia Voter Guide

It’s an election year in Livonia and as always, Vote.Run.Serve-Livonia is sharing direct links to candidates websites and voter information. You will find a printable 1-page sheet below that you can print out for reference and share.

If you have questions about voting, contact the Livonia City Clerk’s office in-person (located on the ground floor of City Hall), by phone 734.466.2235 or visit the website www.livonia.gov/199/Vote-Livonia.

Important dates:

  • Week of September 25th
    • Absentee ballots available
  • Monday, October 23rd
    • Last day to register to vote by mail. After this date until November 7th you can register in-person at the clerk’s office
  • Tuseday, November 7th
    • ELECTION DAY! Vote at your precinct or deliver absentee ballot to Clerk’s office before 8pm.

On November 7th, Livonians will vote for Mayor, Clerk and Treasuerer. Each of these positions are full-time employment and 4 year terms.

Mayoral Candidates:

The Mayor is the city’s administrator and oversees all Departments including Public Safety, Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Library, represents Livonia to the business community and appoints individuals to Commissions, among other responsibilities.

Clerk Candidates:

The Clerk is the keeper of records and manages all elections.

City Council is a non-partisan, part-time position. You can vote for up to 4 candidates. The top 3 vote getters will serve 4 year terms, the 4th place vote getter will serve a 2 year term.
