Pumpkinfest is weekends at Wilson’s Barn. Saturdays & Sundays from 11am to 6pm
Evening concert performances at Trinity House Theatre on Fridays and Saturdays in October – different performers each week and tickets start at $20.
Saturday, October 1st
- Guns and Gowns Civil War Reenactment @ Greenmead from 10am to 4pm
- Livonia Center Cemetery Walk from 2pm to 6pm. Tickets are $15 and support LPS Education Foundation

- Stories, Snacks and Crafts @ Greenmead Historical Park in the Newburg School house for a fun afternoon of Halloween-themed stories, snacks, and crafts. Tickets are $15 and the event begins at 2pm
Thursday, October 5th
- Diwali Celebration @ Schoolcraft College from 6:30pm to 11:30pm. Tickets are $25. Children and adults of all faiths are invited to attend this cultural celebration featuring an evening of entertainment and Indian catered dinner.
- Livonia City Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony @ Rosedale Presbyterian Church at 7pm

- Faith & Blue event at Larry Nehasil Memorial Park from 11am to 2pm
- Fit Theorem 5th Anniverasary Party from 12pm to 3pm.
- Livonia Hockey Family Fun Day @ Eddie Edgar Arena from 12pm to 3pm
- Highland Tea @ Greenmead at 3pm. Tickets are $35
Sunday, October 8th
- Fall Sipand Shop Craft Expo @ Knight of Columbus from 10am to 3pm. Admission is $2
- Halloween Exhibition by Livonia Figure Skating Club @ Eddit Edgar Arena at 10:30am
- Halloween Trick or Treat Open House from 12pm to 3pm. If you love spooky vibes, get pumped for an I Spy experience, new Crazy Holidays Halloween Trail, trick-or-treating, and a few more goodies.
- Treats and Meet @ Mies Park from 2pm to 4pm. EVERYONE is invited to meet the candidates in this year’s local election. The Treats and Meet event is designed with kids in mind but you do not have to have children to get candy and meet the candidates.All 12 candidates will have a trick or treat station along the Mies Park path for you to stop to chat and ask questions from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, October 8th. This is a non-partsasn race and a non-partisan event.
Tuesday, October 10th
- Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: an Interactive Presentation at Civic Center LIbrary at 6:30pm. Go back to 1944 and interact with these two historic figures in a one-hour presentation with seasoned actors portraying Franklin and Eleanor. Learn about their family history, their rise in politics, and their relationship issues, all from the comfort of the library’s auditorium.
Thursday, October 12th
- Board Games of the 1930s at Civic Center LIbrary from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Family Game Night where we will learn about and play these classic games.
- Fall Job Fair @ Schoolcraft College from 4pm to 7pm. 90+ employers from Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing & Engineering, Supply Chain, Accounting, Business and more!
- Beer Trasting @ SuperNatural – Belgians, Oktoberfest and Fall Favs. Tickets are a super deal at only $29 which includes all the great beers and an appetizer bar.
Friday, October 13th:
- ACTIVATE: Start Up & Small Business Conference at Madonna University from 8am to 5pm. Tickets include breakfast, lunch, sessions, and networking opportunities and start at $25.
- Octoberfest with Full Tilt Boogie Band @ Livonia Elks Lodge at 5pm.
- Livonia Community Theatre Kick-Off Party at Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church from 7pm to 9pm
Saturday, October 14th:
- Livonia Fire Safety Open House @ Fire Station 3 from 10am to 2pm.
- Trunk or Treat & Open House @ Livonia Moose Lodge from 10am to 12pm
- Crawling Cuties: Bugs, Insects, Spiders, and More! @ Greenmead at 10am. hildren will get up close and personal with insects, spiders and more as they observe the many important jobs that these clever, captivating, crawling creatures perform. Registration is required, tickets are $12
- Trunk or Treat @ Bluestone VOICES for Autism from 11am to 2pm. There will be pumpkins to “pick” from our patch (limited quantity), pumpkin decorating station, trunk or treating, food truck, cider, donuts, and more! Tickets are $4
Sunday, October 15th:
- Frankensquishie @ Kirkskey Recreation Center from 1pm to 3pm. If you’re looking for an adorable Halloween themed story, stop in and hear John Loren’s story “Frankenstein Doesn’t Wear Earmuffs.” Don’t miss out on arts and Frankensquishie crafts, as well! The cost for members is $22 and residents are $25
- Free Break Light Repair from 11am to 3pm at 7 Mile and Middlebelt.
- Magician Cameron Zvara at Civic Center Librayr at 2pm
Monday, October 16th
- Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors at Sandburg Library from 6pm to 7pm. Listen to the story and song of the Coat of Many Colors, and spend some time creating with many colors!
- Crafts with Kristy at Civic Center LIbrary at 7pm. Come and learn how to use household staples to make bath and beauty products! Materials will be provided. Registration required
Thursday, October 19th:
- Livonia Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast Roundtable @ Marriott Livonia at 8am. Enjoy breakfast, networking opportunities and observations on Metro Detroit, Michigan, and more from a local journalist, Nolan Finley, and a regional leader, Robert Ficano. They will also be answering audience questions.
- A History of Urban Farming In Detroit presentation at Civic Center LIbrary at 6:30pm. learn more about Detroiters and their green thumbs from the Detroit Historical Society. Part of One City One Book.
Friday, October 20th
- Good & Strong Club @ Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop from 5pm to 8:30pm. The Good & Strong Club is a social club designed for tweens, teens and adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities to hang out, have fun, socialize and practice some vocational skills. Each meeting will have a themed activity. Activities will alternate between just-for-fun Karaoke, and Makers & Mentors.
October 20th & 21st: Shadows From The Past Halloween Walk at Greenmead – this event will sell out!
Saturday, October 21st:
- Livonia Community Meal Packing Event from 9am to 11:30am @ St. Edith Catholic Church. Join your Livonia Community Service Clubs and other volunteers to pack 50,000 meals to feed the hungry. Two-thirds of these meals will be donated in and around Livonia, and one-third donated to world hunger.
- Livonia AIR Ghoulish Gathering @ Rotary Park. Get ready for a Ghoulish Gathering as part of our Livonia AIR (Adaptive Inclusive Recreation), a Halloween-themed afternoon of snacks, crafts, games and activities from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at Rotary Park (32184 Six Mile Road, Livonia). Cost is $10 per person
- Spooky Swim @ Kirksey Recreation Center from 2pm to 4pm for ages 2 to 15
- Haunted Graham Cracker House Contest at Civic Center LIbrary at 2pm. Six teams (up to three members each) will compete to build the spookiest haunted house made from graham crackers, frosting, and candy. All supplies provided.
Sunday, October 22nd:
- Livonia Kiwanis’ 40th Anniversary Pancake Breakfast @ Greenmead’s Alexander Blue House from 11am to 1pm. Tickets are $5 per person and guests 10 and under eat FREE
- Trunk or Treat @ Holy Trinity Lutheran Church from 2pm to 4pm.
Monday, October 23rd
- Vintage Crafts: Rag Rugs @ Sandburg Library at 6pm. cut and upcycle old t-shirts into usable rugs of any size! We’ll provide the materials and instructions.

Wednesday, October 25th:
- Livonia Rotary Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser to help eradicate polio from 5pm to 7pm at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. Meals are $15 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under.
- Tricks and Treats in Art with Art Historian Wendy Evans at Civic Center LIbrary at 6pm. Tricks and Treats in Art Spooks and scares, tricks and treats are part of the fun of Halloween and of this presentation. It will focus on the tricks artists use to bring you their treats. But there will be plenty of spooks and scares too. Prepare to be terrified!
Friday, October 27th:
- Halloween Spooktacular @ Trinity Health Sports Complex from 5:30pm to 8pm. This is a FREE family friendly event that includes trick-or-treating, bounce houses, costume contests and frightfully fun activities. Ozzy the Ocelot, Schoolcraft’s mascot, and friends – you won’t want to miss taking photos with all your favorites.
- Trunk or Treat @ Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church from 6pm to 8pm
- Trunk or Treat and Open House @ Livonia United Masonic Center from 6pm to 8pm
Satuday, Ocotber 28th
- ‘Haunted’ StoryWalk at the Civic Center Library from 11am to 1pm
- Trunk or Treat and Haunted Journies @ Mt. Hope Congregation Church from 4pm to 7pm
- Ghastly Greenmead: A Spooky Celebration from 6pm to 9pm. a self-guided flashlight walk through a few of Greenmead’s historical buildings to learn about Halloween lore and hear spooky stories. Your night will end at the Alexander Blue House for a spine-chilling and outrageously fun vintage Halloween party complete with refreshments, music, fortune telling and Halloween activities of old. Costumes and flashlights are encouraged. Check in times every 15 minutes through 7:30 p.m. Advanced registration is required for $25/resident.

Monday, October 30th:
- Spooky Stories Around the Bonfire @ Sandburg Library from 5pm to 7pm. Listen to some spooky stories around our fire & enjoy some treats.
