The following were approved for the consent agenda:
- Block party
- $50k from budgeted funds to be used to repair storm sewer and catch basins
A five building 11 unit duplex proposal by Leo Soave Building at 35755 Plymouth Road between Yale and Levan was put on regular agenda and likely to be approved. These 2 to 3 bedroom units will have no basement, require an HOA for road maintenance and garbage services and cost from low to mid $300ks.
An 11 unit condo proposal by Leo Soave Building for Sunset St. by Merriman and 8 Mile will be offered to the Committee of the Whole at the Regular meeting. Although the proposal appears to meet the standards of its current zoning requirements, it received pushback from residents for multiple reasons including public safety and flooding concerns.
A proposed new pavilion for Ben Celani Park will be put on the regular agenda. Council asked that more information be provided as to why additional investments ($92k) would be made to this park instead of another with more need, specifically Shelden Park.
