The Mayor vetoed Council Resolution 355-22. At the July 10th City Council meeting, Council amended resolution 355-22 to clearly state that there would be no fee for requests for information from the tax database. That motion was unanimously approved, the veto override did not have 5 votes. It is expected that the City Assessor’s office will implement a fee to search tax property data beginning August 1st with free access available at the library and at City Hall.
Following this vote, Councilman Donovic proposed that the issue of user fees be sent to the Committee of the Whole. This was unanimously approved.
The Mayor and representatives from Economic Development and CDBG recognized 5 grantees from the first Pure Potential cohort. Each participated in business training and were awarded business development grants. The businesses are

The proposed development at Middlebelt and Vassar avenue was put on Regular agenda for the next Council meeting. The current proposal is for the 5 story building to be a mixed use storage facility with ground storage and 5 single-family homes on the far east side of the property. There was extensive conversation on this issue that you may want to watch.
